Wow! 8 weeks in with Dynatrace and I’ve spent the last 3 weeks travelling around Australasia as part of our annual APAC #Perform event series. Introducing Log analytics premium (now in EAP)

We are very proud to introduce our newest addition to the product that is an extension of highly acclaimed Log analytics functionality available today. It removes all limits of the free version and also allows storing log data in central storage in the cloud (SaaS) or NFS (managed). If your environment qualifies for EAP, you will be able to enroll by using the invitation button on the Log Viewer screen. Introducing Varnish cache monitoring

We’re happy to announce the public beta release of Varnish cache monitoring for Dynatrace. Varnish Cache is an HTTP accelerator that’s designed for dynamic, content-heavy web sites as well as heavily-consumed APIs. During the public beta release period, you need to manually enable Dynatrace Varnish cache monitoring before you can use it. To enable Varnish cache monitoring Go to Settings > Monitoring > Monitored technologies. On the Supported technologies tab, set the Varnish cache monitoring switch to the On position. Google Play takes aim at poor performing apps

Nobody in the app community will have missed that Google fired a major shot at poor performing apps last week. Those that don’t take performance seriously will now be down-ranked on the Google Play store – making them harder to find. Compare service request performance and behavior over time

One of the most important and basic features of any performance monitoring solution is the ability to track metric trends over time (i.e., charting of time-series data). Dynatrace uses sophisticated charting to visualize changes in metric trends over time, making it easy to see trends at a glance. Comparison of trends within separate time periods has long been a challenge, however.
